I am on coumadin and get tested regularly. I have a relative who just started eliquis and I understand that testing is not needed as often. He has not been told about testing so I am trying to get this information for him.
Is the pt/inr bloodtest necessary when taking eliquis? If so how often?

There is no testing with the newer anticoagulants.
