I was put on Prozac 3 days ago ( today is my 3rd day) I know I’m not supposed to feel any changes yet ( and I don’t really ) my question is; actually, I’m cutting back on drinking down to one shot with a zero sugar juice or soda ) it’s hard, but I can’t go cold Turkey (too dangerous ) I know your not suppose to mix the 2 (I’m trying) what are anyone’s experiences with mixing one drink a night with dinner and a 20mg pill (taken at noon)?

It completely depends on your individual response to the combination. Many people can easily tolerate a small amount of alcohol while others can experience a serious reaction. You'll just need to experiment safely until you know how it affects you.

If you are taking an antidepressant at noon and then in the evening a glass of a beverage which contains alcohol it is contradictory as alcohol is considered a depressant that slows down your CNS (central nervous system), neurons are affected and can not transmit impulses and increases potential side effects of both Prozac and alcohol.
Although some people do drink, it all comes down to personal decisions.
I am 54 y/o and in my case (I have been on meds for over 25 years) I stopped drinking cold turkey and was a heavy drinker, it has been 20 years since my last drink, best thing I could have done, again this is/was my personal choice, everyone reacts differently to everything in life, but you are aware of that.
