I have been suffering with a panic disorder for a year now and tried many ssris but these have made me worse!
I am now suffering with chronic dizziness feeling like I'm going to fall over all the time or just pass out. I have been layed In bed for 2 weeks as it's got to much.
Has anyone else experienced this state of dizziness and has propranolol stopped this?

Hi Laura,
I believe anxiety can make you feel light-headed, but if you are feeling that dizzy it could be something else. I have generalized anxiety and occasionally panic attacks, but I also have silent migraines, aka migraine associated vertigo. I basically feel like I'm on a boat 24/7, but don't get any headaches. Anxiety definitely makes it worse and is a huge trigger for me. If I were you I would see your doctor and ask for a recommendation for either a neurologist or an ENT (Ear, nose and throat). I went to an ENT and she diagnosed me with MAV and I was given nortriptyline 25 mg. It helped a lot. There are hundreds of medications out there for MAV. You just have to trial and error and not give up. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

It should in theory. Propranolol calms down the adrenaline in your heart that causes the physical symptoms of anxiety
Hi Laura-
Propranolol works well for some. You can try it and see if it helps. It is suppose to help with the physical symptoms of anxiety/panic.
Hope you find some relief soon.
