I suffer from Vestibular migraines and anxiety. I am on 25 mg of Pristiq. Both my neurologist and psychiatrist have said to start low and cut the pill. It definitely says you are not to crush or cut the pill. My question is that I have been on it for two weeks and I am experiencing blurry vision, and increased anxiety. I expected the increased anxiety, but not the blurred vision. Has anyone else had vision issues and did they subside? Thank you so much.

I never had blurryness and was on it for 15 years. Do not cut the pill by any means. It's setup to slow release via it's makeup inside the pill. When you cut it your basically getting a dump of 12mg, 10mg, etc.. of the medicine. That is why the drug is hard to get off of. It did help my anxiety though before it pooped out. I hope it helps with the migraines, I can imagine trying to find something for that is rough.
I've been researching a number of medications used to treat migraines but are normally for unrelated purposes and most of them have a side effect of blurry vision. I tried one and it did screw with my eyes causing blurriness, double vision, and extreme light sensitivity. Even though I stopped taking it a month ago I'm still experiencing them. Good luck with the Pristiq. Many side effects are temporary but everyone seems to respond differently to the same medications--appears to me it is definitely not an exact science.
I had to stop the Pristiq, it was making me manic. I have given up on all the SSRIs, SNRIs, and other antidepressants. Now trying the anticonvulsants and others. Lyrics is my first med in this other category. Have you found anything to help with your migraines?
It should read Lyrica.
