I used the gel 1x per day for 5 days. I had the usual discharge which means its working, and the odor lessened but didn't go away completely. I went to my gyno the day after my last dose to talk about other things but she said it was too early to retest me. Is it possible it didn't go away? Or does it still work for a few days after you stop taking it? I am also taking a probiotic; maybe that'll help clear up the rest of it?
Possible that Metronidazole didn't work for bacterial vaginosis?

It is possible that it will keep working for a few days after its stopped. Do you still have symptoms? Where did you get the idea a discharge means its working? If you still have symptoms in a few days make another appt with your dr.
I read on a few sites (including this one) that the white wet toilet paper-looking discharge is just the infection leaving the body.
Is that true? Because I currently seeinv that now and its mixed with what looks like old dark blood
