Does polymyalgia rheumatica recur? I had it 5 years ago and endured many months of misery. Also got a cataract from the steroids. Now my upper arm muscles are getting sore again. Same time of year, same location (southern Arizona).

Yes, it only goes into remission, so can come back several times...
Yes, it can. I drink tart cherry juice at night one hour before bed. I noticed an improvement in about 10 days. Also, I use guided imagery by Bellaruth Naparstek at Healthjourneys.com. I use the meditation for rheumatic arthritis because it is similar to PMR. She also has a meditation for pain which I find very helpful.
YES! It can and does. I have had it several times. Getting the prednisone dose correct again is very difficult or can be. I hope this is a false alarm. Take care and go slowly.
