My girlfriend got her depo shot five days ago. We had sex 3 days after her shot and had an accident. Does she need to take plan b or is the shot going to be affective. This was her third shot

Was she on the first 5 days of her period when she got it?
If so, then she was covered immediately.
If not, then she wasn't covered for 7 days, so will need to use either the emergency pill, or have an IUD/coil fitted within 5 days of the unprotected sex.
If she chooses, the pill, then depending on where she was in her cycle, Plan B may not be any use, & she may need a different one.
If you can tell me when her last period started & ended, I will try to work that out for you.
I also need to know if her periods were regular.

I misread your question. If this was her 3rd shot, & she was not late for it, then she has continuous coverage from the Depo Provera, & does not need emergency contraception. If she was late getting it, then she will need to use extra measures.
