Is it normal for the beads inside the capsule to not be filled to the top? My prescription is for Adderall XR 30 milligrams and when I flip the capsule up right, the beads do not fill to the top. I'm just wondering if I should bring this to the attention of the pharmacist.
When I picked up my prescription for Adderall XR it looks like the beads are not filled to the top?

Yes, this is normal. This is the way they come.
They cannot fill a capsule to the top, think about it. They fill the one half then put them together. There are two parts, how could they have filled 2 parts to the top? If you get your prescriptions from a reputable pharmacy, they're ok. People aren't stealing beads out of the capsule.
I think that's pretty normal. My Adderall XR capsules are *never* filled to the top.
I think that's because, if you look in the patient information leaflet, it says you can open the capsule, sprinkle the little beads on applesauce, and take it that way. I guess that's for people who can't swallow a capsule.
Anyway, if you think about it, opening the capsule would be *very* messy if it were full to the top. You'd have tiny little beads everywhere. ;-)
