I have been taking the same dose and manufacturer for two years.
Gabapentin 300mg once before bedtime, daily.
Last week when I got my refill I noticed the pill change and asked the pharmacy about it, they said they changed manufacturers. I didn't think much about it. Over the past week, I am not sleeping as well, I am waking up with muscle discomfort, and am overall aches and feeling off. There is nothing else that has changed that I can contribute to this noticeable change. (other than an increase in Levothyroxine from 100mg to 125mg)
How do I find out which pharmacy carries the other generic that I was using that had been working so well. Is this something I discuss with my pharmacy?
I am hypothyroid and have fibromyalgia. I just had labs and all seems to be well otherwise.
Pharmacy changed manufacturer of my generic Gabapentin?

Hi, fibromama!
Pharmacies will often change manufacturers to order the lowest cost product to save you money. Your original generic may have had a cost increase or this new medication is less expensive.
Most pharmacies will honor a request for a special order if you explain that this current product is causing you problems. You may need to pay a little bit extra but it's worth it for your well-being.
Worst case scenario your manufacturer may have discontinued the medication in which case you may need to try a couple of generics to find the one best suited for you.
Best regards and I hope you're feeling better quickly.
