Most, if not all, psychotropic medications have the potential to cause metabolic weight changes in a percentage of people. Paroxetine is considered "weight neutral" because these changes can go either way:
"Common (1% to 10% of users): Decreased appetite, increased appetite, weight gain, weight loss"
