So, I had a urinalysis done 2 weeks ago . I just got the results back. It showed possible kidney infection. The Z-pack is for my bronchitis. Will it help with both? Thanks

There are better drugs for kidney infections. You should see your dr. The drug you're on is zithromycin, the way it comes is a z-pack.

Ok, so yes i do know that there are better drugs for it, but can Azithromycin help kill the infection in my kidney... theoretically.and if not why? Thanks for the help! :)

I have similar situation and my Dr. said It is unlikely that zithromycin will help UTI because it covers respiratory bacteria, not urinary. Will start cipro the day AFTER I'm finished with zpack
