I have an odor coming from my vaginal area for some time now. I shower and wash daily, I began using Summers Eve wash and I will occasionally use vaginal wipes as well. I do not have any itching, burning, or uncomfortable feelings in my vaginal area, just this unsettling odor. I have tried all the home remedies and store bought items such as washes and wipes. What could it be and how can I fix it?

DO NOT DOUCHE for ANY reason unless a doctor tells you to! It is not good for you and it upsets the vaginal pH balance, washes away good bacteria and allows bad organisms to grow. Your best bet at this point is to see a gynecologist. They can take a swab of the vagina and look under the microscope to see what is there and treat accordingly. You probably have a bacterial infection (BV) or you may have a protozoan infection. Either way they can be cleared with prescription medication. The ONLY cleansing you need "down there" is to wash the outer area with soap and water when you shower. The vagina itself (the inside canal) is self cleansing so you only need to wash the vulva (or inner and outer "lips") and groin area. Douches and wipes are too harsh and will just encourage problems not solve them. All vaginas have some odor no matter how much you wash. A vagina smells like a vagina but if you are getting a "fishy" odor then more than likely you have a BV going on.
It just smells horrific... Like something is dead in there. Even smells through clothes
