Mupirocin - I was given this cream to go on a dog bite..Will it help?

Mupirocin is an antibiotic. It comes in the form of a skin ointment, a skin cream, and a nasal ointment.
The skin products are used to treat various skin infections, it could prevent spread to bacterial injections.
However please do double check it with a pharmacist/doc, take care.
