How long does it take xanax to leave your system?

I know that you want to hear that you will test negative. My opinion(an educated one) is the chance of you testing negatives very very low. The only thing you can possibly do is to totally flush your system in any way possible. As you have been told , these drugs are stored differently than other drugs of abuse.
You " heard" from a psychiatrist that told you this is not possible. Why is that same Dr not giving you a prescription? I am assuming you are not under his care.
Being on probation and using is a very dangerous combination not that ever using drugs illegally is not
It sounds as if you are trying to take care of your body yet you are on probation and still using

I think you will still come up positive. Xanax doesnt flush out with water and it takes a long time to fully metabolize. I took one dose prior to a dental appt and had it show on a pre-employment screen about 4-6 weeks later and that is supposed to be the detection time for chronic use but I took only one dose (1mg) prior to a dental appt because that is the ONLY time I use Xanax so I know exactly when I took it and how long it had been. It was prescribed so it was no big deal for me. You might get lucky. Some of the uds detection schedules say that benzos are out in 7-45 days, some say 1-3 days but I know my personal experience was different. If your metabolism is high and you have low body fat, maybe you will get lucky and pass. I wouldnt count on it though, honestly.
