My bottle of 50 mg is from July/2012 I would still like to take it for weight loss.
How long is Topamax still good without losing its efficacy or being expired?

Hi Brenda,
I was on it and didn't lose weight but I can see with having GI distress why people do.
I went looking and saw doctors are using this off-label for weight loss.
The reviews that were successful, were people that also changed their diet and started increasing their activity.
I guess the bottom line is there is no magic pill.
Make sure you do the package to get good weight loss.
Good luck
:-)
I'm confused; it is primarily used as an anti seizure, anti migraine medication. Weight loss is indicated as a side effect in 17% of those taking it: https://www.drugs.com/pro/topamax.html
Given the type of product, I'd throw away the ancient script.
