I have been diagnosed ADHD since I was 14, I am 24 now and I have been on medication since diagnosed. I started on Adderall, then moved to Vyvanse for the benefits of the continuous even release. When the new healthcare system came into place my insurance won't cover Vyvance even though my Doctor has sent in requests for that specific prescription. I am currently taking adderall twice a day and while it helps me focus and control myself better, I've noticed when I go to take my second dose mid afternoon I get a foggy brain feeling. I get really spacey and it's even harder to focus. Has anyone else experienced this? Could I need a upped dosage? Have I been on this kind of medication for too long? I definitely need some kind of ADHD medication. Any advice or your own experiences would help me understand what's going on would be appreciated.
Can long term prescription Adderall use for ADHD cause brain fog?

Ok, I am 34 year old male. I want diagnosed until later I think 20-22 when I first was and I was off on 20mg 2x day Indian release... Within two months and 35-40lbs lighter. Lol I suddenly would get that food u say. Take 20 around 8-9am and by 12:00 I would feel "burnt out" like suddenly and drastically I would go from energetic focused and motivated to ughhhh. Wouldn't talk couldn't actually completely process my thoughts. So I Yale another 20 and it helped but quickly I needed 30mg 2x day... Then same with those so eventually got on 30mg XR capsules w/the beads. Those pretty much fixed my problem unless I was to abuse and take 60-90mg at once. But my body began to break down n metabolize the instant tabs so quickly by gone if start feeling it actually kick in. Seems an hour or 2 at most its suddenly like I to only 10mg and like u said. I couldn't focus became spaced out and distracted by everything and vary uncomfortable. I'm my own skin. Bit the XR capsules really changed that would stay with me most all day and wouldn't drastically crash off but slowly fade away but still had trouble sleeping. But I needed about 75-90mg daily usually with am dose and 1-2pm dose. But still that eventually had little or no effect. Kings had to just take a vacay from it for free months actually about 18 months. Then got on again but body will always eventually grow accustomed and tolerant to every dose... So it's like a endless cycle and it wasn't working so every couple years I go free months to a year without any. Then start again. Today I'm trying a 40mg vyvanse for first time. Interested in how this is going to work.
Death your worring way to much many things could cause brain fog.But the doctor well be able to take care of it and most the time it is very rare no matter how long you have been on it lots of times this can be taken care of by just a dose adjustment. please don't worry about it.
