I have been diagnosed with Dermatophytosis of a toenail and prescribed terbinafine how long is the standard program to cure this fungus?

I took it for a tear with regular blood tests for any problems. I took some pill (name forgotten) and the liquid on my toes. Be patient. Good luck.

Hi tomkatt This is not easy it is different for each person the doctor should have let you know.Some are on as little as a week,others it takes a month or so.In most cases,GOOD luck this is a very good medication for this problem don't worry about how long just follow the doctors orders...

Thanks for responding Chuck, the script is for 30 days with 2 refills, the Doctor wants to see me in a month and a half. I don't like taking any medication for an unspecified period...

Tomkatt were it me i would take it until that appt.and have the doctor reevaluater you.They have all kinds of periods of time you stay on this i was on it for over a year.very stubborn case after i crushed my leg and was in a cast.that is rare now days..some people like i said take it as little as a week but the dr would not have written it the way s/he did if they did not want you on it longer enjoy your day friend
