I have been on Eliquis for 6 months for a pulmonary embolism. Have just been told I can now go to Aspirin 325mg coated tablet, once a day. How long does it take for the med to get out of your system?

24 hrs might be wishful thinking by the medical profession. I still suffer debilitating side effects from Eliquis 4 weeks after stopping it, taking it for just 12 days. It appears to get its tentacles into various body systems, unfortunately.
24 hours...
Start the aspirin when your next dose of Eliquist was due.

About 60 hrs total. You aren't waiting to start the aspirin are you?
