I am dealing with severe OCD. Since Luvox failed to fix it this time, I was changed to Anafranil 75mg for one month to see how I do. I’ve only been on it for 2 days. How long does it take to work? Does it work?

If you have obsessive compulsive disorder, in my opinion, you would want to avoid any type of stimulant medication.

Anafranil worked amazing for me in 1990 at 25mg but last year with my new psych upped it to 50mg and considered 75mg.
I noticed it work within a week.
I had obsessive thoughts due to a family crisis and my Neuro put me on Anafranil which is an old med.
Are you taking it at bedtime?
Noticed any side effects? My worst/unusual was yawning so don't be alarmed'
Maybe have CBT therapy also?

I have started with 75mg. I’m using it with 200mg of Luvox, which only worked on my depression - good, but not on the intrusive thoughts, that are severe. I wish clomipramine works for me as fast as it worked for you. I am taking it at bedtime, with no side effects.
