Are you taking the tablets or liquid?
The tablets can be taken with or without food - it does not matter.
The liquid should be taken on a empty stomach (an hour before a meal or 2 hours after).
A few strawberries will not interfere with absorption of the liquid.
In this case "eating" refers to a meal (not a light snack).
