What liquids can I drink with Milk of Magnesia?

It is really best to drink a glass of water along with your milk of magnesia. Your body needs the water in your system for the magnesium to work properly. Magnesium works to pull water from your system into the intestines to soften the stools. Dairy milk will not have as much water content so the magnesium wont work quite as well as with water. If you want to follow up the water with milk that would be fine but the milk of magnesia will work the best when water is taken with the dose. Follow Masos link and it will say this under the directions on how to take it. I dont think dairy milk will keep it from working, it just wont work as well as if you take it along with water.
