Lexapro side effect on eye sight?

Ocular side effects have been reported in a small number of people when first starting certain antidepressants like Lexapro (escitalopram):
"Uncommon (0.1% to 1% of users): Abnormal accommodation, abnormal vision, blepharospasm, blurred vision, dry eyes, eye infection, eye irritation, eye pain, mydriasis, visual disturbance, xerophthalmia"
Side effects generally resolve within days to a week or so and usually lessen daily. You should let your doctor know about the side effects, especially if it's been persistent, but it may be a matter of time while you adjust to the medication.

Lexapro may cause serious side effects. Call your doctor at once if you have:

"blurred vision", tunnel vision, eye pain or swelling, or seeing halos around lights;

racing thoughts, unusual risk-taking behavior, feelings of extreme happiness or sadness;

pain or burning when you urinate;

(in a child taking Lexapro) slow growth or weight gain;

low levels of sodium in the body - headache, confusion, slurred speech, severe weakness, vomiting, loss of coordination, feeling unsteady; or

severe nervous system reaction - very stiff (rigid) muscles, high fever, sweating, confusion, fast or uneven heartbeats, tremors, feeling like you might pass out.
