How likely or effectively do levonorgestrel works during ovulation day or after release of eggs? The main mechanism action of levonorgestrel is to stop egg from ovaries only and does nothing to prevent implantation if the fertilization has occurred , is there any other function does this Pills can perform apart from it
any genuine answer from experienced is highly appreciated
The only emergency pill, proven can prevent pregnancy, when used in the 24 hours around ovulation, itself, is Ella (Ulipristal Acetate). Even that pill is not guaranteed to work, but it is the only one that has proven that it can work at this time. Levonorgestrel might, but it has not been proven. You can see this on the Ella website.
