Late second period after taking Plan B, Is this normal? Could I be pregnant?

Can someone shed light on this situation? I'm totally freaking out after taking Plan B. I had protected sex on November 9th, however the condom slipped, so to be safe and not sorry I went and got Plan B within two hours of the incident. I took the pill and my period for that month came a few days early but it started off slow, but then became quite heavy and i bled for about five days, which is my usual time period for having a period.
So here I sit waiting for my second period to come. I keep having what i think are little cramps, but nothing like I'm used to for having a regular period, and I am actually ten days late for my period. which is scaring the daylights out of me. I have tested using first response tests and tests from the dollar store (new choice brand), followed instructions, used first morning urine, sometimes middle of the day urine, it's been 8 weeks now since the incident happened and NO other sexual contact has occurred since in fact we broke up because he turned tail the second i had this scare.
I know it's probably all in my head but I have tested negative every week and every test I have taken and not to sound OCD but I have probably taken over 10 tests over the past four weeks, is there any way i could be pregnant? And is it possible to have a very late second period after taking Plan B, or not one at all? Any and all help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Would an at home pregnancy test be accurate by now?

Hi so I have a similar problem. I took plan B about a mount ago, and my period came on the right date... Since then I have had protected sex except for one time the condom broke and we stopped immediately... So only a bit of pre may have gotten inside of me... I didn't take a plan b after because I thought I would be okay... And I had taken one last month so I know it's not good to take them consecutively. I'm extremely stressed my period is 4 days late... I am extremely scared and unable to focus on my studies. Please help me...

Hi I’m in the same situation. Exactly 3 months ago today my now ex and I had an intimate night. He never came and there was no penetration all there was close contact but there was no direct contact. I took plan b 72 hours later. It was later than I wanted but I had school and didn’t have time to go get one. After I took it about 5 days later I got what seemed like a period. It was early but it was very heavy and longer than any of my other periods. Mine usually are 4-5 days and this one was 6-7. My next period came the following month on time maybe a day or two a late and it was my normal period just a little longer. Now this month I am around 4 days late and I’m worrying myself sick over this. I don’t want to be pregnant nor could I raise that baby at this point in my life. I know stressing over this isn’t helping but I really would love some help and reassurance that everything is normal and going to be ok!!!

My next period was due November 7th but hasnt come i am now 7 days late and im usually on time if not its only 1-2 days different. I had un protected sex the day after my period ended in october and then again maybe the 18th of November... could I be pregnant? I also feel as if I ovulated a week later than I was supposed to. I just thought I would post on here to ease some people's minds. I took plan B within 3 hours on March 7th, as the condom broke and I cannot afford to get pregnant as a university student. I got a weird heavy spotting for about a week 4 days after taking the pills. I then got my period early that month on March 23rd (4 days early is normal). But this period only lasted about 3 days and was very light so I was concerned. Waiting for my second period to arrive i was due this time on the 20th of April and was very worried when it did not come this day as I had been reading these threads. STOP READING THREADS ONLINE. It will only stress you out more and delay your period. Once I told myself I'd give it a week and relaxed I got my period the next day on April 21st (today). Just relax. Your 2nd period will come if you do not stress. Plan B works and is a good alternative when you mess up. But warning. The cramps are awful for the 2nd period. Worst I've ever had before. But happy I am not pregnant! :)

I know it's possibly all in my head thar I could be pregnant but I have never bled before and maybe it could be the plan b that caused me to bleed.. could I be pregnant???

Hi, so I was in a similar situation and I wanted to give you and others peace of mind. My boyfriend and I had sex with a condom and it broke, we instantly went to get the plan b pill and I took it right away just to be safe. I was actually expecting my period the next day and it did still come the next day. It was light for 2 days then it was really heavy for a week. My period was a lot longer than it usually is. I was still nervous waiting for my second period after taking the pill because bleeding is a side effect from taking plan B so I wasn't sure if it was in fact my period or just symptoms. Thankfully today I actually got my period. I know the whole waiting process is scary but all of you took the precautions you could!

Okay, I never post comments on threads. However, I was in this position and was freaking out. So hopefully I can ease your mind. After taking Plan B One Step, I had a very weird, light period a week before my period was due and I just figured that happened because of the pill. Fast forward to when my second period should have started, nothing.. I had no signs of PMS so I started to get concerned. Two weeks later I finally started my period (6 weeks after weird bleeding from the pill) .. So if your second period is late, don't stress out about it, it might delay it more. Just be patient, it will come. Hopefully not two weeks late like mine. Talk about a long two weeks.

Hi! I am in the same boat right now. May I ask if you experience cramping, back pain, fatigue, sore breasts and such while waiting for your second period? Thanks! Your answer would mean a lot!

You're probably not Prego. I had sex a couple of days after my period. Guy was a total douche bag. I knew I was ovulating and made a huge mistake. I took a plan b about 60 hours after. I'm over the weight limit and was freaking out. I was nauseous had bloating. Cravings and a strong sense to smells. I just knew I was prego since I have 2 kids already. I bled a week after taking the pill and had very bad cramping weeks after. Happy to say my period just came on 8 weeks later. Just wait it out

Hey don't panic! I had sex Feb 3 with a condom and he ejaculates me. I was scared to death and he made to ensure there wasn't any tears or breaks. 10 hours later I took a plan B just to be safe. I have taken one before and got my period the expected day. So that's what I expected this time. But no I have been waiting for it because it was due Feb 6 and I was freaking out and looking online for answers and finally today (Feb 10) I got my period. The pill messes up your cycle. Don't be scared. Just breathe and let the pill do it's work. Don't expect to get a regular period as it may come early or late. It's a huge dose of hormones and your body isn't use to it! Stay off the internet to ease your mind!

Has anyone not had any bleeding at all after taking the pill? I took it almost 4 weeks ago and my period was due 1 week ago. Since taking the pill I have not had any bleeding or spotting at all. I'd appreciate your comments...

Hi I would like to share my story, so on the 7th day of my cycle (October 1st) I had intercourse with a guy, we used protection however th condom got stuck inside me so I immediately panicked and took the morning after pill within 24 hours. 6/7 days after taking it I got a period which lasted for 5 days even though I wasn't due for around another three weeks, of course I was petrified I immediately contacted an ob/gyn who said this was uncommon! However upon researching this myself having a period a week after MAP is very common as the rush of hormones induces the uterus to shed its lining. 3 weeks later I marked as when my next period was meant to come and it came 1 day early it started out light and I was concerned that it was implantation bleeding but it turned out to be full on and like a normal period.
I've found a common side effect with the pill for me is not only nausea when I first take it but my menstrual period after taking it is different, my cycle is shorter by a day or two and I experience a really heavy bleed and excruciating cramps with the period that follows taking MAP. However remember everyone is different hopefully I can help ease someone's mind

I know this is old but I recently found myself in a similar situation and I want to help others feeling the same thing. I had sex a day after my period ended in Feb and the condom broke. Literally minutes after the deed I ran to Walgreens and took the plan b pill. A week later I bled for a few days and that was about it. As my period start date for this month neared I started feeling very sick to my stomach and bloated all the time, but the day came and went. I am NEVER late so I started freaking out. I took multiple pregnancy tests and, although the were negative, convinced myself something was up. A week and a few days after my missed period, I started! I am completely grateful. It will come! It's the hormones messing with your cycle so don't stress too much. Good luck!
