I have been on it for over a year and have not had a good night's sleep since starting. My Dr has given Ambien and I still only get 4 hrs solid sleep. I take 175mg in AM and 300 at bedtime. I take it for petit mal absence seizures and it has been successful for that but oh how I wish I could sleep. Good luck to you!
I take Cymbalta, Abilify, and 200mg of Lamictal at night and have never had such a good sleep pattern.
I take 4-25 mg per day. 3 in the morning and 1 at night and don't have any problems falling asleep.
I think there is a chance that if you take at night it may hurt your sleep
We all react to meds differently, but a side effect of Lamictal (lamotrigine) is sleep problems (insomnia). I also took it for some years in the am.
Take care,
