Lamictal is an anticonvulsant and also used in treating mood disorders. There have been a few studies that suggested that it might also be effective for adult ADHD/ADD but these studies were done with patients who have ADHD/ADD in addition to Bipolar ll disorder and clinical depression.
I’ve been taking Lamictal since 2014, and while it was prescribed for seizures, I definitely noticed a small change in my ability to focus. That being said, I was also for a small time prescribed another med for ADD, which meant the Lamictal wasn’t enough on its own, so it probably varies from person to person.
