Larry, that is kinda going to depend on how sensitive the test at the program is. The home tests are pretty good, but when they mail the UA to a lab, they screen for much smaller amounts. Not sure what you are taking right now, but if it is benzo, or pot, it can test positive for a about 6 weeks after last use. Methadone and suboxone test positive for a couple of weeks after last use. Most other things do clear the system enough for a quickie test in 3 to 8 days time, but a mail off test is usually really sensitive and checks for even minute amounts.
thank you pattishan61.
it will be over 6 and a half days clean at the time of the test on friday 2/25. i very rarely use cocaine and would not have if i knew about the test. i am planning on doing a home test on friday and later that evening taking the required scheduled test. it is an outpatient clinic. my concern is that if i get a negative at home and go forward with the lab clinic test, is there a chance that the lab test will return positive?
I guess there is always a slim chance but cocaine will speed metabolism up, not down like opiates, muscle relaxers, and benzos and it doesn't stick around in the fat layers. If I were you, I would still try to get in some light exercise, drink water and take hot baths in order to sweat out any residue. Good luck, hope you come out fine.
