they are 3 mos old had diarrhea, so I assumed they had worms I gave them 'vetscription sure shot liquid wormer' now they wont eat. I have tried several different cat food and milk and chicken which they love but can't get them to eat a single bite! I am worried and can't afford a vet visit
My kittens have not eat for 3 days after giving them vetscription worming medicine. is this normal?

DO NOT give your kittens milk or Gatorade under any circumstances! Milk gives cats diarrhea and Gatorade is just plain bad for them. (Although a little bit of Pedialite should be OK if the sugar doesn't make the problem worse.) You will have to force feed them because they need the nutrients. Also, it is extremely important that they get plenty of water to replace the fluids they're losing from the diarrhea. Vets sell a super smelly cat food (Sorry, I forgot the name of it, but the vet should know what you're looking for) that worked when my kitty got sick. Try that food and see if it works. If they still won't eat, you'll have to go to the vet if you want them to get better. I'll keep them in my prayers. God Bless.
Hi pistuart,
When my girls wouldn't eat cuz of diarrhea I gave them rice & chicken with
some broth. my kittens eat it, at first just give them a little bit. It work for me.
hope it works for you. I know all about vet bills. good luck
well as I stated in my ?they won't eat at all so do I force feed?
I Had A Cat That Stopped Eating And Was Having Seizures. He Was Not Eating Or Drinking, I Took Him To The Vet He Was Very Ill The Vet Said Looked Like He Was Poisoned And Would Probably Not Make It. He Gave Me Seizure Meds And Sent Us Home. How This Relates To Your Kittens. I Did Feed Him With A Syringe. I Mixed Milk And A Little Soft Cat Food In A Syringe And Pretty Much Force FeD Him. I Alternated With Gatorade Mixed With Water And Food Because He Was Not Drinking Either. I Was Only Able To Give Him About 5Ml At A Time Even Though He Was A Large Cat. PS Cats Hate Gatorade. After About A Week He Started Eating Soft Food On His Own. Hope This Helps YouR Babies :)
