I have been on the drug a week and 4 days. I have schizoaffective bipolar disorder and PTSD. I'm on a very large cocktail of meds. I need to redo my med profile.
I was wondering if folks were able to come off any of their meds, replacing it with Vraylar?

I'm kind of excited about coming off my lithium and Prolixin in replace of Vraylar.

I was on lithium for quite some time until I developed lithium toxicity twice. With lithium it's two strikes and you're out. It was replaced with Vraylar which is now my drug of choice but I also take a mood stabilizer and an atypical antidepressant. It's very hard to treat without a cocktail.
Are you in therapy? I went through a course of CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy) which is a therapy designed specifically for treating PTSD. I've been amazed at the result!

I can't thank you enough for your reply! Yes. I do both CBT and DBT. Plus weekly therapy sessions! I bought workbooks that are a lot of fun and good for the soul.
You bring up questions I should definitely speak to my psychiatrist about. I'm so sorry to hear about the double whammy of toxicity of Lithium.
