I’ve been taking one 1000mg of time release keppra every 12 hours for months now due to a grand mal seizure I had at 3AM while sleeping earlier in the year.
So, back in July I left out of town for 1.5 days with family and forgot my medication. I had a second seizure at 4AM while sleeping also witnessed by my wife again, I fell out of bed, bit my tongue… Would that second seizure likely have been cause from being off 2-3 doses/1.5 days of keppra? Or do I need to reevaluate my dosage/medication with the neurologist?
Thanks!!
Keppra/levetiracetam use and side affects?

Hi, I would say your second seizure was from the missed medication, I'm not doctor of course, but I do have epilepsy and have had gran mal seizures and other types of seizures. If I miss a dose, I will definitely have one. Just my opinion. Good luck to you!!
