No, Zanaflex is not a narcotic.
Zanaflex is a short-acting muscle relaxer. It works by blocking nerve impulses (pain sensations) that are sent to your brain.
Zanaflex is used to treat spasticity by temporarily relaxing muscle tone.
I work for the department of corrections and have been tested many times while on zanaflex and it does not show... Don't worry.
Thanks so much for your response on this one. I was in the same boat at the person that posted this question and was freaking out about my test also.
So this will not show up on a 10 panel drug screen I have to take 2 morrow does anyone know for certain ty
This help me alot. I just got put on Zanaflex yesterday and I have a drug text week.
Zanaflex is not a narcotic and will not show up on a drug screen, the things they test for on a drug screen is for cocaine, narcotics such as percocet, lortab, morphine, thc, ativan, Valium, xanax etc. Zanaflex is a muscle relaxer and they do not test for that on a drug screen, so you have nothing to worry about.
