Hello. I was going through my medicine cabinet and chanced upon a bottle of C-lium Fiber (psyllium fiber/husks - much like Metamucil) that states expiry date as January 2009. I feel bad that I've forgotten about it for the past year and I really don't want to throw it away if it's still edible. So is it still safe to consume it?
Is it still safe to consume psyllium fiber/husks (C-Lium fiber) that expired a year ago? Thanks?

Please destroy it, meds when expired are no longer effective.
I'm not sure if its medicine technically (correct me if I'm wrong) I think it's a non soluble fiber supplement. but, thanks for your prompt response :)
Pleasure, it is not recommended to take expired meds at all, all one needs to do is - to destroy them, they would be no longer effective.
