Is Clindamycin commonly used to treat ear aches?

Clindamycin is an antibiotic and is usually reserved for more serious bacterial infections. It may be used to treat ear ache caused by an ear infection, if other medications can't be used (eg bacterial resistance has developed ), or have been unsuccessful.
