Looking for research to discuss with doctor.
Does methylphenidate have a negative effect when taken with imipramine?
Anyone has every taken these together?
If so, was it synergistic or was it awful?
I'm diagnosed with Adhd and doing some research.

Applies to: imipramine, methylphenidate
Before taking imipramine, tell your doctor if you also use methylphenidate. You may need dose adjustments or special tests in order to safely take both medications together. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using your medications without first talking to your doctor.

Good morning,
Thank you for your informative reply.
My doctor prescribed me the Ritalin.
Since i come the usa i am in another country.
It really concerns me that me being the patient, i had to find a kind way to correct my doctor when he wanted to prescribe me another medicine that would cancel out the effectiveness from the Ritalin.
I have shown him my research and it is up to him.
So i basically am very well versed when it comes to psychiatric meds and since the usa has more advanced updated medications, i have to work with what they have here. Its the reason why i wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with this combination so that i can talk with dr about.
