After reading about prednisolone, this is what I found:
Dosage and Administration
Adults
PO 5 to 60 mg/day. Oral disintegrating tablet: 10 to 60 mg/day.
Also found this dosing regimen:
Oral
Alternate-day therapy, a corticosteroid dosing regimen in which twice the usual daily dose is administered every other day, is used to provide patients requiring long-term pharmacologic dose treatment with the beneficial effects of prednisolone while minimizing certain adverse reactions (eg, pituitary-adrenal suppression, Cushingoid state, growth suppression in children).
Hope this gives ya a little to go one,
Laurie
Hello Skid I have been on & off this drug for over 25 years ! it is called prednisolone ( solone ) which helps settle flair ups of information in the joints due to arthritis, also this drug is used for chronic asthma .The dose I am normally given by the doctor is 2 x 25mg once a day this is only for 5 days ! it never has been given to me for any longer period ! & can only say this drug has only ever made my mouth dry while taking it no other side effects to note.
Hope this answers some questions regarding this drug, & that you can use this information, take care have a great day Candypq
I believe this is best answered by your doctor. I used to work for an Allergy doctor & have allergies, asthma & so on. He used to prescribe 5 mg a day for people with these conditions that were chrontic. Be careful as it can eat away at your bones if you take it all the time. Luck to you,
