absolutely not it would effect the liver not the gastrointestinal system. but how old is this student?
and at that level of acetaminophen a day she might benifit from a LFT(liver function test)
I think yes it would contribute to her stomach issues. My mom-in-law had migranes for a long time when she was younger. She would take massive amounts of bayer asp. , Tylenol, anything over the counter and she got an ulcer and was hospitalized for a while until they found out what the problem was. That was many years ago. But please be careful with whatever you take. Kim
Absolutely so..Any massive dosage of medication goes through your body, intestines and all. You could get an ulcer or worse. I would be very careful with over the counter and prescribed meds. I had an awful scare when I took to many meds and had a blockage in my intestines. And believe me you don't want that. Best of luck... Kimmie
Kimmie1,
Firstly this person you are talking about did not only take tylenol but asprin and ibuprofen as well as almost every one has. The class of NSAIDs that ibuprfen belongs to must be taken with food for a reason and that is because it eats away at your stomach. Acetaminophen does not and that is all she is taking according to the person who asked the question. Please research before you answer. Thank you.
