Was prescribed 50mg for anxiety and 100mg for sleep aid while waiting on buspar to take effect. Will I get hooked on hydroxyzine?
Is hydroxyzine habit forming?

I have found it is not habit forming, but you may build up a tolerance to it. One thing is for sure, it definitely knocks me out. I was prescribed it to take prior to dental appointments, and after the first one, I had to Uber home, there was no way I could’ve drove even two hours after taking a 50mg dose:

No, it is not habit forming like benzodiazepines.

Hydroxyzine is a non addictive medication. There are no significant withdrawal symptoms from hydroxyzine. You should be aware of the side effects. Such as: drowsiness, dry mouth, weakness etc..
