Hydroquinone topical side effects
Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Stop using hydroquinone topical and call your doctor if you have severe burning, stinging, or other irritation of your skin after apply the medication.
Less serious side effects may include mild burning, stinging, itching, redness, or irritation of treated skin.
There is no mention of "small pimples" specifically in the list of side effects. You should mention this to your doctor if you are concerned or if it is bothersome.
I just started using Hydroquinone 2% with sunscreen last week & I got redness, small bumps, & small pimples in the area & nearby areas I used it on my face. It was the only new product I used so I guess the breakout was from it. Now that I see someone asking about small pimples as a side effect, I'm convinced that the same small pimples on my face are from the hydroquinone.
