No it does not have codeine in it but it is a derivative of codeine.

Hydrocodone is a synthetic derivative of codeine. I am severely allergic to codeine so I get prescribed hydrocodone, instead.

Hydrocodone has hydrocodone in it. If it had codeine in it it would say so in the name.
