Sublingual, which is the fancy term for dissolve under the tongue. If you swallow it the stomach acid will destroy the pill or film. Then the medication will not take effect. Unless you have patches then stick it on body in place that doesn’t move a lot. Under your forearm and usually you need Tegaderm which you buy OTC and it’s a bigger clear patch that will make sure the medicine patch stays on and doesn’t pop off. It takes about 24 hours before the medication starts to absorb. So if the package say 72 hours it really should say 96 hours. Which is very confusing.
Did you get the strips or the tablets? Either way... Place it under your tongue and allow it to fully dissolve before you drink or eat anything. Do not chew it. It takes about 30 minutes to kick in. How many MG are you on, and what are you getting off of?
