I took the ring out on Sunday morning and thought I would get my period a day or so later. It is thursday evening and still no period- not sure if I should be concerned about pregnancy! Do I insert another ring on Sunday without getting a period? I would take a pregnancy test first just to be sure...
How many days after removing the ring do you get your period?

I've been on NV for over a year now, this is my second go around with it after having my second child. I have been regular with my periods until recent. Typically take it out and 1-2 days later I would start or I start spotting right away. Took it out on Friday and today is Wednesday and I still have not started or had any spotting. A little worried about the possibility of pregnancy. Doc apt on Friday.
Anyone else experience this?

i had that question i called my doctor to ask about it because it was making me worry about. i started at the beginning of last month and my doctor told me that your body is still getting used to the type of hormones in it. it took me like 3 or 4 days before i actually started. my doctor told me to keep a pattern and after a while you would get used to it and you should start right before you take it out and that you should put in no matter what even if you are still on your period because thats what it says in the package and what my doctor told me. hope that helps. :)
Thank you!
The vaginal ring is a form of female contraception. The vaginal ring is inserted into the vagina on the first day of a woman’s menstrual cycle and stays in place for three weeks in a row and is then removed while the woman has her period.
Your period should start during the week you do not wear a vaginal ring.
Some women miss periods on hormonal birth control, even when they are not
pregnant. When used correctly the chance of getting pregnant with a vaginal ring is less than 1%.
Consider the possibility that you may be pregnant if:
You miss a period and the was out for more than 3 hours during the 3 weeks of ring use.
You miss a period and waited longer than 1 week to insert a new ring.
You have followed the instructions and you miss 2 periods in a row.
You have left ring in place for longer than 4 weeks.
If you suspect you may be pregnant do not insert another ring. See your doctor as soon as possible.
I always take mine out on wed. and I get it on saturdays. So about 3 days for me and Ive been on it for 2 1/2 years now.
I was searching for answers to this question and I feel better now that it might just be prolonged. Thank you so much
