My son had an addiction and was sent to a detention center for 5 days. He had not done them for 6 days but when he got out, he tested positive for oxicodone. How is this possible? Are there cases when it can stay in your system longer? He was doing about 60 - 90 mgs a day. Can it stay in your system longer than 5 days?
How long does oxycodone or (roxies) stay in your system?

In my experience stays about 3-5 days but have known cases where it was 7days after detoxing and still showed in drug test. I believe it depends on amount of mg's used daily and body type and wieght. I know it seems every time i have detoxed off opioids including 200-400mg's daily of oxycodone as you say it was different by one or two days unlike most peole tell me 3 days but noticed that was only with street narcotic drugs. So believe your boy and help him stay clean of all narcotic pain pills. Stay clean!!
One pill once
Its been my experience, with using them often, it can take 3-5 days. If he only took one or two at one time, then closer to the 3 days.
statistically is 5 days. in my experience if you are talking about the withdrawal thing, 2nd & 3rd day are the worst; 4th a bit "transitional" from 3rd, 5th you will feel PHYSICALLY better - if you take a vitamin regimen (omega3, b complex, d, calcium, potassium, drink milk) and use some flu meds (anything to get rid of sweats) you will be ok on your dosage; I had what i call "intermediate" WD's on 200-300mgs of roxy's per day (oxycodone). If you are taking a drug test, I'd recommend adding herbal teas to flush and wait 7 days if possible; Senna leaf tea is the best I've ever used; super antioxidant and flushes EVERYTHING out of you (don't wanna be gross but you know what i mean LOL). good luck to you :)
On average it is 2-5 days but some sources do say up to seven days.
