How long does codeine stay in your system?

Conservative figures say 3 days,however if you have to take a drug test, I would count on a week. Drink alot of water to flush it out. If you are worried about driving, if you can feel the codiene, you shouldn't drive. If it is making you sick or feel bad, it should dissipate overnight. Lay down and try to keep still and it will pass.
