How How Long Before You Can Start Seeing An Improvement on Your Toe Nails When Using Lamisil?

I am 6 months into treatment. It appears to be working but because my case goes right to the bed of the toenail it will take at least one year and may not succeed. The toenail grows slowly (from lower down than the base) which is why it takes so long. All the creams and lacquers do not work it's a scam. Laser worked for me on large areas (big toe) but not on small toes where it's seemingly more stubborn.

I've had toenail fungus since I was a sophomore in high school. It started in one of my big toes and eventually spread to my other big toe and 2nd toe. Then in college the nail fungus spread to my fingernails. My ring fingernail fell off twice during my early 20's. Finally, just under 6 months ago, I decided to try the Terbinafine (generic Lamisil). I was put on a 3 month regimen in November of 2018. It is now March of 2019 and I can already see a difference. My doctor did have me do 2 blood tests for my liver (once before and once in the middle after 45 days) to make sure it was healthy. I would say it's been a pretty successful treatment for me. Even though my nails aren't COMPLETELY healed I know it'll take awhile before they're completely clear but even in this short period of time I notice that my nails aren't as thick and are starting the healing process.

I was wondering how the lamisil has worked for you so far.

I did the lamisil a while back and it seemed to be working . after a month or so noticed a difference but then banged up my toenail and it’s back. I’m going to try the lamisil again

Sad but true. Anyone wonder how long will it last ? Not only beating your liver like an alcoholic with the pills. Results will only last a few months when it returns. Perhaps laser treatment is best solution I been thru this lamisil treatment at least four times in my life. I hate going thru treatment since I had liver failure in my pass very very scary. Spend 2 weeks​ in hospital.

my mother used it she had to have 2 rounds of it the pharmacist told her to drink milk with it to coat her stomach it did the job for her I don't know the climate where you live but if it is warm (like in my mothers case when she had it) the doctor had her to go barefoot, you may have added problems with yours I am just trying to give you a general idea, it is good I think he said it continues to work even after you stop the drug, it is for fungal infections of the skin,for jock itch for fingernails and toenails as well (thickness) take this exactly as your doctor prescribed if you take more than that it can worsen the condition, I recall she had 2 rounds of the drug if you can find this precise answer as to length of time (I looked at the link) then please be sure and ask your doctor just to be on the safe side I want to give you safe information please take care and all the best
