Usually the next course of action when an anti-hypertensive drug doesnt control B/P by itself, they will add a diuretic drug to help remove fluid. This usually does the trick but some people do need more than one anti-hypertensive and a diuretic. Be sure that you are trying to limit your sodium intake as that will cause you to retain fluid and make your B/P higher. There is a diet called the DASH diet that is recommended for people with hypertension (high blood pressure) You can google DASH diet to find a source on the net.
