I am now having to use suppositories to get relief. I just started drinking prune juice. How long till I get results?
I also got a lovely hemroid from this. what can i put on it to stop the stinging? I know TMI but damn it it hurts!
Hi there I am constipated from taking suboxone. Anyone else out there have this issue?

Hello I'm also on Suboxone and I can feel a lump when I wipe sometimes it's there and sometimes I can't feel it and sometimes see bright red blood after constipation. When I'm not constipated I have no blood and no pain. Sorry for the info but I'm scared. It doesn't hurt only after a bowel movement if I'm constipated. Does that sound like hemorrhoids? Also it feels like it's tearing my skin when constipated. Please help.

Colace, psyllium corn husk in water 3 times a day, and a high-fiber diet is your best approach along with staying hydrated. DO NOT use Milk of Magnesia or other otc laxatives as others have suggested. You become physically dependent on them and it make make you problems much, much worse. Best of luck with your pooders!

I honestly have to use enemas every day or I get anal fissures and hemorrhoids! I’m so irritated. I’ve tried literally everything. The best thing that works when even enemas won’t budge, is a saliene laxative aka MAGNESIUM CITRATE. Drink the whole bottle and a whole bottle of water (or more). And take the day off because you will be running back and forth to the toilet all day but seriously it’s the only thing that works. The glycerin suppositories don’t even work for me so you’re lucky they work for you. Eating all fruits and vegetables and nothing else for a day will make me go on my own but it’s still dry and excruciatingly painful. Try to lube your butt up with Vaseline. And maybe even stretch it with your fingers as nasty as that sounds. Because bleeding out of your butt is the worst and so painful I could die. I feel your pain bud.

oh yes... lots of lemon water if you can tolerate lemon. bran muffins if you can, prunes in your smoothie or just chew on a few prunes every 4 hours, ginger lemon honey tea if you like, no one thing helps everyone. Coffee stimulates. fruit. high fiber foods.

hi,lots of people on sub have the same problem.my doc and the nurses all say the same thing.only take a stool softener.stay away from laxatives they are habbit forming.drinking 8 glasses of water sounds like a lot of water,it is.eat prunes or start your day with prune juice and end it the same way.good luck... pete

Well, I am not sure what Suboxone is... but, I had spinal surgery 3 weeks ago and after left hospital was put on MS Contin 15 mg 3x day... that constipates you a ton. After talking with pharmacists and my family doctor, as I recently (8 months ago)also had my gall bladder out and I have IBS also, I was told to take Colace twice a day (I'm taking the plain old colace not the stimulator one) and also, believe it or not just plain old Milk of Magnesia... it worked like a charm.
The Milk of Mag, gave me no cramping or pains, (which is what the Miralax did in the rehab center, and I went once after not going for a week had a huge "blow out" was drinking prune juice, lots of fruit etc), then became constipated again), so when I got home that's when I checked w/my family doctor (after not going again for like 9 days) and she recommended colace 2x day and milk of mag either 1 or 2 doses (depending on how I've done for the day and how much I went, if I had diareah or what)before bed as long as I'm on some type of pain pill as it constipates you a ton. My bowls are still not exactly like they were pre-surgery, but I do have some movement atleast daily... I would talk to your doctor about the milk of magnesia, sometimes they recommend Miralax, then if that doesn't work Magnesium Citrate whichis what they give people before a colonoscopy to clean them out... I haven't taken that yet; I'm sure I still have a bunch "stuck" up in my bowels to come out yet, I can tell, but at least I'm going some daily. But definitely ask a health care professional or your doctor first. Pharmacists know a lot too.

Thank you for your help..I know this is TMI but I figured probably some poor soul out there with same problem too embarrassed to ask. Suboxone is what they put you on for opiod dependency. It doesnt mean I am a drug addict. Its given for people who have long time use of opiods either street use or painreliver. I am on it for probably another 5 months. I am not ready to get off of it.

I'm on on subs too. What really helps and is natural is aloe. I take a couple pills every other day.

When you taper your dose of subs down, this will ease off and then almost completely disappear when you get down lower than 4 mgs per day. I had to drink more water, eat fresh pulpy fruit, and get more physical exercise. The water helps and the fruit helps within a day or two. You can try some hot baths with epsom salts for the demon butt mole, God, those damn things are so irritating. I used some cortisone cream to shrink it, and some vagicaine, if you can find Americaine's hemroid cream, that will help. Prep H is really greasy and really doesn't help much for me. The hot bath with epsom salt was really the most help as far as me totally being comfortable. If you can find some fresh pineapple, some apple, prunes or dates will work, almost any fruit and I mean eat 2 full servings at least per day. I ate it for breakfast and for a late nite or mid morning snack.
I am know sure how much subs you are on, but, if it is 16 mgs or more, multiply whatever you think is alot of fruit or water by 2, or ask if you are ready to taper down some. I am so sorry you have ssbp ( super severe butt problems) I had it and my boyfriend was like, quit complaining, it's not helping. Then he got one and he is not on subs, that's called a Godsmack, God literally getting you for being unsympathetic to those who need it. I thought it was funny, he was miserable. Oh, they have a new medicine for hemi's and it is being advertised now, it is some type of cold relief.

Hi Patti I dont know what dose mg I am on. I am told to take half a tablet a day. What mg is this? 4mg? the tablet is 8mg whole. I just drank more prune juice and yes I will up the water. I hate fruit so i will try a banana a day..i dont know if bananas help. i have canned peaces..will this work? I seriously hate apples, pears etc unless its canned. the stuff in raw fruits upset my stomach and give me indigestion. like gum and those mints for your breathe..

Yes, that dose should be 4 mgs, and I hated fruit too, discovered that I like pineapple and peaches, hate bananas myself and they trigger migraines in me. The canned won't hurt, it may not be as good as fresh, but it won't be null and void as far as the effect of adding fiber is concerned. I too had really bad GERD before and during my suboxone treatment, I finally got to taking prilosec or some other treatment like that but i also added some digestive enzymes from GNC, they were their brand. If you stop 90% of the acid pumps in the stomach ( and that is what prilosec does) it seemed logical to me that something had to break your food down. You might also try some Probiotics to replace the good bacteria in your stomach, it helps to move the waste along. I can not remember the name of the new hemi med, but it should be something like cryostat and it is new and uses cold to relieve and shrink the demon butt mole.

Hi, Patti, very funny and that Godsmack line was awesome. I'm going to use ssbp. I haven't heard the Godsmack reference in a while. Did it teach your boyfriend a lesson? Is he more sympathetic?

The Band Godsmack is how i heard of that saying, they were in the studio and were laughing at someone who had a cold sore, then the next day, one of them got a huge one and declared that GodSmacked him 4 lauging at the other guy. i made up ssbp because i was in the throes of agony from my demon butt mole and my bf kept telling me i was exaggerating. NO, i exclaimed, i have super severe butthole problems, that's the real saying- i softened it 4 the post so as not 2 offend anyone. then i had a couple of people tell me they thot it was funny including you, so i posted the actual explanation of ssbp, and you can use that phrase, just credit me, hahaha and hope you won't get 1 anytime soon.

Ouch on the hemorrhoid..those hurt. Really the best thing for constipation (after you get things moving again) is drinking lots and lots of water and walking. Give it a try and you will see results withing a few days! Try to stay away from the strong laxitives. Many people will actually become dependent on them and that would really suck. Also increase the roughage and veggies in your diet. Bran, broccoli, fruit, and at least 3-4 quarts of H2o daily. More if you could drink that much.

Hi there I dont think I could walk more than I already do ;) I use my elliptical 45 min a day plus all the walking at work. I have a busy physical job... but i will work on the water..I already drink 4 or 5 bottles of water plus juice, soda etc... but hoping this goes away.

I agree, Chris, only plenty of water and a good diet mixed with grains, fruit, vegetables-at least 25grams of fiber per day. That is how I lost 40lbs and have kept it off. I also "go" 2-3 times a day. Stay away from the laxatives and(or)stool softeners. You need the roughage not the juices. Too much straining will give you hemorroids.

OMG--- I was in baaaad shape for 4 wks. Tried suppositories, like you, I then had to drink magnesium citrate every weekend to "catch-up" LOL... but, believe it or not, the answer is simple--- senakot (sennosides 8.6 mg) OTC stuff. It's safe and very effective. I take 4 every night. I never thought something so simple and cheap would work so well! I was in misery, I now soooooo relieved! Try it and good luck
