I noticed on one site that l-theanine can affect your thyroid. Since I have had my thyroid removed & take 75 mg of synthroid as a replacement, I am concerned about the safety of taking l-theanine with the synthroid. Has anyone taking synthroid had a problem with taking l-theanine?
Has anyone used L-theanine with synthroid?

Did you ever find an answer to your question? I wanted to try L-theanine for anxiety because I do not want to take benzos, but am concerned about using it when I take levothyroxine daily. I cannot seem to find any information about it when I research L-theanine and levothyroxine sites..
sorry your right ans is
Theanine is an amino acid (a building block for proteins) found in green tea.
People use theanine for treating anxiety and high blood pressure, for preventing Alzheimer’s disease, and for making cancerdrugs more effective.
This medication should not be used for weight loss. Normal doses of this medication will not work for weight loss, and large doses of this medication may cause serious, possibly fatal side effects, especially when taken with diet pills.
