I"m breastfeeding, but have been pumping and dumping since I took the tablet on Wednesday. I was wondering when it would be safe to resume breastfeeding.

Hello there, it will take about 6 to 9 days to come out of your system..it's a very powerful pill and it has the full ability to have a long life in your body. Some reports say that it stays in your body for 11.46 days & 275 hours. It usually takes a very long time to leave your system. I am on Fluconazole 150 at the moment fighting a yeast infection myself, and let me tell you this pill is very powerful and the side effects are horrible too.
I hope this helps you, good luck!
I realize this answer is a bit late but fluconazole can be in your system for up to 275 hours. (It has an elimination half life of between 20 to 50 hours, and it takes approximately 5.5 x elimination half life's for the medicine to be out of your system. Was your doctor aware that you were breastfeeding. Next time please let them know and perhaps ask how soon after your dose you can start breastfeeding again.
yes, my doctor was aware I was breastfeeding. they said, as well as the pharmacist, that there was nothing about it being unsafe and that it was probably OK but there was no real research to back either side up. So, I just pumped for a couple of days after I took and resumed breastfeeding and my son is fine.
Yes, he should be fine.
