Flomax - what happens if you have a "dry" ejaculation? Will semen back-up into the bladder, and if?

Have been on Flomax now for month... bladder reaction from anesthesia, urinary retention after surgery . Dry_orgasms yes different use to seeing it... I thought maybe she would think different but she just ask how do you know if you did orgasm ? I answered ... same as you may, it is an same internal feeling of Orgasm. One positive is maybe just me but , seem to hold erection longer and a fuller filled one at that... holds at "slightly larger and fuller". Hope this helps someone.. was little scary cause did not know what to expect , or reaction from wife.
Most of the time the only thing I ejaculate is loads of precum. Thick and totally clear. My thinking is not to risk having a few sperm mixed in and getting my much younger GF pregnant. She’d be up for it for sure, but it’d be a disaster for me at my age. I’d risk it if she wasn’t on the pill and I had to use a condom though. I hate condoms. She’d pull it off anyway in the middle and make me risk pulling out.
Same thing here. I think it is called a retrograde ejaculation, and yes I've read it goes the other direction and into your bladder. There you will urinate it out most likely. It is hard for me to judge the amount of ejaculate because it feels like tons, but there's no way to really tell. A small amount will come out the regular way. I have not heard anything negative and my urologist seems unconcerned, but it is kind of disturbing.
I'm not sure why I'm typing this..my question is this, I experienced a climax with no ejaculate... I was masterbating and had all the good feelings but no semen... not natural and concerned about the med? I know my climax went somewhere but not in my Kleenex... is the drug causing it? Is it harmful?
I seriously believe thousands, if not millions, of men are missing an opportunity here: There is a significant, not incidental, correlation between Tamsulosin and dry ejaculation. Why this medication is not being used in lieu of condoms or other much more inconvenient and expensive methods of birth control is beyond me. After a short period on this drug there is no ejaculate whatsoever. What's to be ashamed of? Who cares? Who needs vasectomies, which are usually permanent and in many cases regretted after a divorce? When you want kids, stop taking the Tamsulosin. This is a no-brainer. Tell your doc you're peeing too much during the night and improve your other experiences during the night - with no lingering after-effects. Stop worrying about your girlfriend getting pregnant. It's easy enough to determine whether you "suffer" from this side-effect. Sure glad I do.
One reason not to use as birth control is that sometimes a tiny amount of semen is ejaculated. Another is IFIS, a condition of the iris caused by Flomax and very common.
Not true for me. Still ejaculate with semen.
Decreased semen is a side effect of Flomax, so if you had a "dry" ejaculation, it just means that very little semen was being produced. This will not hurt you physically. It bothers some men mentally not to ejaculate but it causes no physical problems. If you were to get a painful erection that doesnt go away(priapism), however, then you should seek medical help because this can damage tissue within the penis but this has nothing to do with the semen. It is from a different cause altogether.
