I found a tube of unopened mupirocin ointment, but it is a year past the expiration date. Can I still use it?
Can I use expired unopened mupirocin ointment?

I think we can if it's giving by a doctor.
I'm normally fairly casual about expiration dates with some simple medications but when the storage instructions are for lowish temperatures (in this case 68 - 77F) I do wonder about stability and degradation. As it is an antibiotic, I would not trust it to be 100% effective at all. An ineffective antibiotic is worse for you than one that does not work at all.
My opinion is not to touch it.
